The Scriptures to the Rescue!

The Examining the Scriptures Daily again came as food at the proper time for me personally.

A couple of years ago I shared a way to self heal with someone who could have used it. It is a proven and very natural way. However, it is not known by the mainstream.

I left an invitation open to learn more. I think I wrote down a website for research if those persons wished to know more.

Fast forward two years. I receive an invitation to a reunion through a third party. Reportedly, it was in email form. It allegedly said that I was invited but requested not to bring up that health thing.

First of all, this came third party to me. I really don’t know what the phrasing was. I just know that I was upset.

The text was helpful because I was running through my mind how an elder, who should know better, wrote in an email to someone else, basically a sensitive reprimand meant for me. Secondly… and thirdly!

See, this is where the text came in. It was a reminder of being gentle, kindly, freely forgiving. If there even is a reason or any indiscretion on the part of others, well I’ve been forgiven in such a greater way that it would be shere unthankfulness not to be forgiving right back.

That greatly helped me to clear the feelings that were developing. The thoughts I was thinking, the resentment that was building and the walls I was throwing up all came to a screeching halt.

The Scriptures are wonderful! A lamp to my foot.

Disfellowshipping – A Sibling’s Viewpoint

Jehovah’s view on this matter is vital. But perhaps it also helps to understand a son, brother and friend relate his feelings on the matter.

There is no doubt that Jehovah God’s standards of right and wrong are high. Jehovah is picky about who he calls friend. And he rightly does this!

In striving to serve Jehovah, the True and Living God, we may fall short, even to the point of needing very strong correction! This can happen to you, to me, to anyone of us if we become spiritually drowsy.

So, I’m not being “righteous overmuch” as the Scripture says. This applies to me just as well.

At the time of this writing I have separated from me a brother and a sister. They are disfellowshipped from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

This is not the first time I’ve been exposed to having to withhold fellowship. It has happened before. In that case all of the family members obeyed Jehovah to the letter. We didn’t have any contact beyond the strictest necessity. The family member came back to Jehovah.

What would have happened if there was a permissive atmosphere? What if one or two family members or Witnesses who were friends remained in contact? I might not have that member back today!

Now, in 2011, we’ve got facebook and email and every other way to connect with people. It is much easier to disobey Jehovah and be permissive. To let down our standard and slip into saying a greeting again explicit Scriptural direction.

This subject is important to me because I am missing a brother and a sister from my side. They have the right to make their own choices. But my choice is to obey Jehovah.

Yes, I want to talk to them. Yes, I want to serve with them again. I want to hear their voices and see their faces.

But there is only one way to get there for me. That is by setting the very best example in sticking to Jehovah’s law as possible! Even in the disfellowshipping arrangement.

Painful? Yes!

Necessary? YES!

Disfellowshipping is not the problem. The bone was broken with the fall. Disfellowshipping is the arduous recovery! Disfellowshipping is the painful setting of the bone and the rehabilitation. It is the itching in the cast. It is the difficult physical therapy sessions.

Don’t let the world dictate to you what you will think and believe and do about disfellowshipping. It is not harsh. It is loving.

I’ll put you on notice. If you are one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and you are on social media with a disfellowshipped individual you are not being loving. You are in fact hating them as much as the Bible says sparing a rod of discipline is hating those needing it.

You aren’t doing any favors for my missing brother and sister. And you aren’t pleasing me or Jehovah. I’m sure Jehovah is seeking to gently adjust you but I’m not as full of heart.

You are keeping the rod from those I love if you do this and it makes me angry. They may not choose to come back. Ever. But to the extent we can help their decision making ought we to do so?

Please make this a personal or a Family Worship project.

New Service Year!

As I write this it is a bit past midnight on Sunday, September 4. I’ve just considered the theocratic thought from Examining the Scriptures Daily. It was so timely and encouraging!

“People who merely profess to be followers of Christ do not engage in this work [declaring the Good News of the Kingdom of God in the humble face-to-face, often one-on-one ministry as Jesus and his followers did – Luke 4:43] in fact, they cannot.”

Why? The article, which is sourced from w10 1/15 3:6 mentioned three reasons:

1. They cannot preach what they do not understand.

2. Most lack the humility and courage needed to face the ridicule and opposition that may result from sharing the kingdom message with their neighbors. (Matthew 24:9; 1 Peter 2:23)

3. False Christians do not have God’s spirit. (John 14:16, 17)

This reminds me of the awesome privilege and command given me to preach, teach and make disciples! (Matthew 28:19, 20)

It is so easy to allow this world to muddle our thinking so that before we know it the purpose and importance – indeed, the vital nature – of the ministry begins to fade from our minds.

May we firmly resolve to recover this sense where lost, to maintain our awareness of how to authentically follow Jesus in the God-approved way, and advance spiritually and theocratically in this new service year of 2011-2012!

May Jehovah bless the spirit you show!

In The Beginning…

(This article will take a “minute” to read and will require you to interact.  I suggest reading through it firs.  Just have fun.  Then, if you wish to do the exercises read it when you have about 45 minutes and a quiet place.  Enjoy!)

God created…

But why?

Having had the privilege of coming to know the Only True God, Jehovah, we’ve learned that all his ways are justice, that he has farsighted wisdom, that he is the very source of all power.  And more than anything else, Jehovah personifies love.  Everything he does is out of love!

That said we can reflect on the thought that life is a gift that Jehovah gave us to enjoy.  At the same time Jehovah was also showing love to himself and his great name.  How so?  Before Jehovah created us he was not a father.  Then, at some point in the distance past Jehovah conceived us as an idea and then took steps to make us a reality.  He prepared to become “the Father”.  This responsibility and privilege was full of joys.  Even conceiving of being a father and going through the steps leading up to such was a joyful experience!  Therefore, we can conclude that from at least that moment Jehovah experienced dual love and the principle of agape love came to be dual in nature.

Dual love: Two-fold love.  Love for 1) self and 2) others that is perfectly balanced and proportionally expressed according to context.  Love which exists like the wings of a bird.  Both wings work together and neither is more important than the other, both are totally necessary for flight.  To a certain extent the one exists because of the other and lose function, power and even meaning without each other.

Jehovah loves himself for our sake and loves us for his sake.  This motivation is a duality and its function is expressed simultaneously.

The fact that we too should always exercise dual love according to the pattern set by Jehovah and Jesus is shown in the principles set out in the Holy Scriptures.

We are told that the Jews were to love their neighbors as themselves.  We are told that husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. Both of these suggest that we should love ourselves to a certain extent.

However, we get all mixed up in the assumption that one act is motivated by a single love “target” at a time.  They must exist simultaneously and in balance!

Please consider the following questions:

  • Why do we put up others our kids driving us crazy?  Because we love them.
  • Why do we set down after a long day of work and just relax and do something for our self?  Love of self.

Please read the two questions above and notice what reactions these evoke in you.  With the first you may have judged putting up with someone correct and loving.  Spiritual.  However, if you are a parent you may have also experienced some discomfort somewhere in your body.  Perhaps, a ghostly flash of pain behind the eyes.  😛  Why is this?  The reason is that we often do not realize in “real time” dual love.  We are loving one or the other.  This creates a damaging imbalance and leads to all sorts of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual “micro-problems” that we don’t detect.  And of course, in the long run bigger problems develop but these we don’t often connect with this phenomenon.

To illustrate it, you could picture yourself as a tire on an automobile that is wearing unevenly and going before it’s time.  Why?  It is out of alignment.  It is not touching the road fully all of the time.  In our case we are out of alignment with the natural expression of love – dual love – as we connect to reality from moment to moment.  Thus, we are wearing out way too soon.  (In the new system we will actually gain more and more life each moment instead of lose it.  We will be like a muscle that grows with use instead of a tire that wears out.)

In the case of the crazy kids above we should properly react out of love of self and others.  Others mean God, the kids and all other people existing.  When realized correctly joy flows from this because you are receiving and giving at the same time for the cleanest and holiest motive.  As you finish this article you will understand this deeper.

Can we correct this imbalance?  Yes!  Easily!  To start you need to remember your divine education from the Bible and Jehovah’s organization.  And then you need to give about 30 minutes or so and do the the initial exercise below.  After that just practice little by little.  As you do you progressively “align” more and more and experience more health, life and joy.

In order to prime you for this experience you have to learn a few quick facts.

  1. Your body continues out into space infinitely.
  2. God is creating and sustaining you simply by being aware of you.
  3. You are developing this moment in conjunction with God and every other sentient life form in existence.

While these may seem deep…well, I won’t kid you, they are.  However, they are also not so difficult to grasp, at least enough to use.

Thanks to Jehovah we live in a “user universe”.  What I mean is that we didn’t have to read a manual to use our eyes or go to a university to learn to walk.  Yet these systems are so complex they make our heads spin.  Thankfully, Jehovah made everything very user friendly.  And these concepts are too.  There is a whole lot involved but you only need to know a bit to use it.  🙂

Jehovah designed the universe to be “user friendly”.

So, number 1 is that your body continues out infinitely.  You know that your tissues stop at your skin and hair.  That is a no brainer.  But did you know that you are generating a bioelectric field around yourself that extends about 30 feet?  This is absolutely measurable and provable and scientists have done so.

While this doesn’t prove the bioelectric field it does show you that you are far more extensive than is commonly accepted:

Stare at the back of someone’s head for a while.  They will almost always turn to see who is intersecting with their field.  If you are going to try this experiment make sure that the person is at rest and conscious, like standing in line quietly or reading a book.  You also may have to do it do a few minutes.

This has been done in scientific studies and studied thoroughly, it is not demonic.  It is humanic.  😛  It is the way Jehovah created us.  We transfer information through quantum channels as a matter of just being alive.  Telepathy?  Whatever.  It is how we work.

However, 30 feet is obviously not infinity.  So just how do we go on forever?  Well, our bodies produce a quantum field that extends to the farthest star in the farthest galaxy.  In fact, every object in the universe generates or simply has an infinite quantum field.  In this way, everything and everyone is in contact with everyone and everything else.  Wild, huh?

Well, so what?  We’ll get back to this.  Now on to number 2…

‘God is creating and sustaining you from moment to moment.’  Scientists have stumbled upon something totally radical.  They now realize that when a conscious entity such as a human being pays attention to another person or an object, even a subatomic particle, that thing actually changes!  In the case of subatomic particles these become more defined when paid attention to.  For instance, an electron exists in a multiple number of places in an atom at the same time!  Think of the electron as being a householder who lives in all of the houses in the neighborhood until you knock.  Suddenly, that homeowner “collapses” into one place and lives only behind the door you knock on!  Of course, he or she may hide on you!  😛 (Keep up the wonderful ministry!)

The fact that we humans affect reality on such profound levels so massively has made quantum physicists spout mystical ideas which have been around for centuries.  One of these is that we are dreaming up the universe from moment to moment.

In fact, our consciousness does affect reality to a degree that we don’t yet know.  But as Jehovah’s Witnesses Jehovah has taught us that he created the universe.  Not us.  He has created us in his image though.  So, we have power like he does.  We do shape the universe with our attention and thought and action like Jehovah does.  We even shape each other.  The Bible shows us that, incredibly, we even affect angels and Jehovah himself!

However, we aren’t the Creator or even a creator but we are developers.  To flush out this thought a little more you might liken the universe to the internet.  In this illustration, Jehovah created the internet and the programming which governs it.  But develops can then make websites and programs which build on Jehovah’s work.

Jehovah names us his “fellow workers” in the case of the telling forth of the good news.  But because of the way he created us we are also fellow workers in developing this moment in the universe.  However, if our attention alters the universe from moment to moment Jehovah’s attention must actually sustain it.  We could then say that without Jehovah being aware of all things at all times they would actually cease to exist!  In our internet illustration we could say that Jehovah is also like all of the wires, routers and servers.  As soon as they go away, no more internet!  No more universe.

Without Jehovah God being aware of all things at all times they would actually cease to exist!

So, by virtue of the scaled down power Jehovah has given us to shape the universe and each moment, number 3 bears repeating!

We are fellow workers with Jehovah in developing each moment of the universe!

If that is so, then, true agape, being expressed dually means that we need to develop the skill and work ethic Jehovah has in paying attention and developing each moment in love.  For love of himself and all others Jehovah God is always paying attention.  He is never drowsy as the scripture says.  And he is always enjoying his work!  We should imitate and learn from him.

In order to do so there are a couple of exercises you can do.  These develop your awareness of certain consciousnesses.  After you do these exercises you will be able to be aware of yourself in all places, developing the moment.  You will be aware of Jehovah sustaining your existence with his attention.  You will be operating and honing dual love as you co-develop from moment to moment.  And your joy and energy will increase!

(To continue to develop these abilities and your joy here it is absolutely vital to keep growing in your relationship with Jehovah through the normal spiritual ways!  Without that these exercises fall flat.)

First of all sit quietly where you won’t be distracted for about 25 minutes.  Place your hands apart.

Now, without moving become aware of:your right hand in a relaxed way.  Don’t look at it.  Just become aware of it.  Can you notice a sense of warmth in it?  Heat?  How about coolness?  Can you sense a pulse?  Can you feel tension or relaxation in places in your hand?  Just be gently aware of whatever comes to you.  Don’t force it.  You are connected to everything and so everything you become aware of will eventually come to you.  You may feel vibration or a sense of electricity.  All of this is an aspect of ruach and neshamah, your life force and the respiration that crates and sustains its flow.  (See Breath of Life article to learn more about that.)

After being aware of your right hand for about 45 seconds to 1 minute in the same way become aware of the following: (for about 3-10 seconds each)

  • Left hand.
  • Both hands at the same time.
  • Both wrists.
  • Both forearms from your wrist to your elbows.
  • Both upper arms.
  • Become aware of both arms from your shoulder to your finger tips.
  • Become aware of your shoulders and upper back.
  • your mid-back.
  • Your lower back.
  • Now become aware of your whole back.
  • Become aware of your hips.
  • Become aware of your entire pelvic region.
  • Your thighs.
  • Your knees.
  • calves.
  • feet.
  • toes.
  • become aware of your legs from your hips to your toes.
  • become aware of your big toes.
  • Second toes.
  • Third toes.
  • Forth toes.
  • And your little toes.
  • Become aware of your torso AND
  • Arms…AND
  • Legs…
  • Become aware of your neck
  • the tip of your nose
  • your whole nose
  • the area between your nose and your upper lip
  • your whole face
  • the top of your head
  • the back of your head
  • your entire head
  • become aware of your entire body…
  • have gentle awareness for your entire body.
  • Now, even if you don’t think you can…
  • Become aware of the area around your body a foot away from your skin.
  • Have awareness for this whole area.  It is your personal energy field encapsulating your body.
  • Become aware of the whole room.
  • Moving your awareness upward so that you are looking down (this awareness is imagination, something Jehovah gave you so that you can develop – it is not leaving your body or any mystical thing like that) …
  • Become aware of the entire building.
  • Become aware of the area around the building.
  • Expanding upward and being aware of what is under your perspective…
  • Become aware of the whole city or town or widespread area.
  • Now become aware of the whole state you live in.
  • Surrounding states.
  • The whole continent.
  • The whole earth, spinning silently on it’s God-programmed axis.
  • Moving further out become aware of the moon circling the Earth.
  • Become aware of the Earth and inner planets circling the sun.
  • Become aware of the whole solar system.
  • Moving faster now become aware of the whole galaxy with its billions of stars spinning in perfection, just as Jehovah created it.
  • Now become aware of the clusters of galaxies until receeding until they are but stars.
  • The whole universe of galaxies is so far off now that they appear as one big gleaming sphere.
  • Moving further off it appears as an orange.
  • A pea.
  • A single bright speck of light in the dark universe.
  • Now let it wink out.
  • Become aware of your awareness everywhere in the silence.
  • Become aware of your body.
  • Become aware of yourself everywhere again.
  • Become aware of the room.

Now, in addition to being incredibly relaxed you are now aware of your consciousness everywhere in the universe.  No, you don’t know everything that is happening out there but you feel your expansive self “out there”.

Realize that your consciousness is not out there doing nothing.  It is intersecting with all things and people and so is affecting all things no matter how slight.  You are co-developing the universe with Jehovah and other humans and beings all of the time.  Just be deeply aware of this fact.

Become aware of yourself everywhere again.

See?  How long did that take?  No time at all!

Now become aware that Jehovah is there (or here) too, supporting your existence and shaping it with you from moment to moment.  How?  Simply allow yourself to feel it and know it.

Do you feel a quietness, joy, peace, bliss, ecstasy or anything like that?  This is the result of being aware of your developer ability and warm relationship with Jehovah as a son/daughter and fellow worker of the joyfully living – creating and making and forging this moment.  It is like what happens when a child reflects on the joy of fellowship with a parent as they do fulfilling work together.  Know that Jehovah feels the joy of working with you too as your Heavenly Father.

So, how can you best show dual love?  Become aware of 1) yourself everywhere developing, 2) Jehovah developing with you, 3) your joyful privilege-responsibility to co-develop the most quality moment for yourself and others.

Be aware of yourself as the giver and receiver at the same time.  You give when you receive and you receive when you give.

Whenever you wish to become aware of yourself everywhere all you have to do now (after doing this exercise) is simply become aware of it.  It is like having on a coat.  You don’t always think about it, but the moment you do, there! You are aware of it.  You feel it!

You can be aware, focused – with a silent mind – on developing the moment in the most loving way possible.  According to dual love.  The principle of agape!

To break yourself out of your constant “mindstream” simply become aware of what you are feeling in your hands, what you are feeling in your body, what you are seeing, hearing smelling, tasting.  Become aware of yourself everywhere.  Become aware of Jehovah there with you, creating and sustaining you from moment to moment so that you can be a lover, a son or daughter to share life and develop this moment for him and for you and for all, in the spirit of love.

You don’t need to go through the whole exercise again.  Only if you wish.  Now that you have become aware of yourself everywhere it is a simple thing to experience it from time to time throughout your day, whenever you wish.

To become more and more aware more and more often pick certain times where you will become aware of 1) your senses, 2) yourself everywhere, 3) Jehovah sustaining you and the universe and 4) the joy of developing the moment with Jehovah.

When you do this 1, 2, 3, 4 bam, bam, bam – over and over – like a drill from P.E. you soon begin to develop a deep deep calm where absolutely awesome things happen that cannot be explained through science (at the moment).  Your health begins to improve.  Even negative emotions rise up and then melt down to nothing when you are in this Natural State.  Things that go “wrong” don’t bother you.  You are developing this moment with Jehovah.  Nothing will actually turn out wrong in the long run because Jehovah – who is more powerful than anyone – is there watchfully supporting your life, your development and your developing always.

Try it!

The Naive Mind

I cannot but stand in awe of the power of a child.  They are raw life force.  Raw learning power.  As they stare wide eyed at the world around them you can see that they see everything, smell, hear, taste, feel everything with a poignant newness.  Everything is fresh and novel.  Everything is a danger or a delight.  The relationships between this and that are only lightly formed.  Few prejudices yet exist.

They have not yet learned to talk talk talk talk talk talk at themselves inside their own heads.  I wonder if I did that right?  I wonder if I like that person.  I wonder if that person likes me.  I don’t like this.  I like that.  I have to remember to pick up the thingy from the whose-it’s on the way home.  Don’t forget!  None of this endless scattered chatter!

At the beginning of life there is something else amazing.  For the first few weeks, in my opinion and experience, babies can perceive the life force fields around things.  Western viewpoint says that they are just learning to see and so look around your head.  In reality, they are seeing better than we are.  Or perhaps they are seeing more than we are.  Just as a baby is able to learn any language equally for a few months, so a baby also can perceive any way any person or culture perceives until it learns what those closest and most meaningful to he or she sees and perceives.  She/he then cancels out and blocks off the extra input.

This is why babies look not only at you, but with a soft focus dart their eyes around your head and shoulders.  They are seeing and feeling with their eyes and heart (the mindbody’s most powerful transmitter-receiver) your mood, energy, health and so forth.  The baby is merging with you in a way that you have forgotten how to do.  The baby is literally becoming you to a certain extent so that she or he can understand you from the inside out and the outside in.

We all have this ability.  It is not difficult to awaken with a bit of determination and know how.  A Gamensan cultivates this treasure of the Naive Mind with joy.  This type of total easy focus and openness is coherent with the life that Jehovah made us to live.  It is like sipping the nectar of paradise.

Jesus, of course, had this ability like no other human ever living.  The Bible commented at John 2:25 that Jesus didn’t need anyone to tell him what was in a man’s heart because he knew it.

Jesus’ knowledge came not only from his “Naive Mind”, a mind completely free of narrow minded and imperfect human misconceptions, but also from a super-abundance of God’s wisdom acquired through divine teaching.  Thus, Jesus not only perceived someone clearly without any of the distortions of a chatterbox mind but thanks to wisdom from the Grand Instructor, Jehovah, Jesus understood how and why these things were going on and what they would lead to and when.

This is what is missing from oriental and other ancient and modern analytical systems.  Oh, “you are a red personality…or a blue or a blue-red or passive aggressive” or whatever.  These are really infantile ways of categorizing people and their behaviors.  It is useful to a point but also very blinding and dangerous.  It is like trying to understand what is going on in a crowded room by looking through a key hole.

The key then is to develop both the Naive Mind and especially divine wisdom.  Paul was inspired to write to the Corinthian congregation in his first letter (2:14-16) that a spiritual man is trained by Jehovah God to perceive spiritual things and thus see clearly what physical things really are relative value.  But a “physical man” cannot understand physical things accurately as they because of a lack of spiritual comprehension.  The key then is total devotion to divine teaching and cutting away all other distractions.  Jesus was said to have been glad before Jehovah always.  No doubt he was a rapt student who let nothing interfere or conflict with his divine education.

There is one problem with the child version of the Naive Mind.  As mentioned above their powers are raw.  They are undeveloped, untrained.  As such they are easily redirected, misdirected, blunted and dispersed.  You know that this is so if you have ever had to help a child pay attention for any length of time.

As an adult we need to focus and control our treasure of consciousness not letting anyone or anything hijack it.  We need to reawaken our raw Naive Mind talent, this genius that Jehovah God laid as gold and silver in us, and then mold and prune the garden of our minds as watchman-gardeners ever with the beaming eyes of eagles.  Like the Israelite builders of Nehemiah’s day we need to work at building the Naive Mind and divine wisdom with one hand and keep the sword in the other.  We need to keep our mind-heart complex like a “garden barred in” protected from being trampled and molested.  – Song of Solomon 4:12.

Boredom and anxiety are two emotions which give a clue that we have actually been trained by the world around us to accept commands of what to think, say, do and buy and also it has the designed function of stopping us from exercising high order cognitive ability and blunt our ability to feel the natural well spring of well being that Jehovah has planned within us.  Basically, we can’t focus well anymore.  We cannot control our emotions.  They are often painful so that we cope by ignoring our emotional landscape.  We find ourselves sad, bored, angry, driven…and we need a substance to alter our mood.  That substance is ligands, psycho-neuro chemicals.  We get these through any number of means.  It could be reading a book, falling down on the bed and sleeping, having sex (a good thing by itself but not a powerful act of spiritual love when “going off” like this) or watching other people in a relationship have sex or have sexual-sensual-violent tension (yes, the world has been training us to be voyeurs like the demons of Noah’s day), prideful lime lighting, near meaningless multimedia interactions, and so many other dead end escapes, rides, and trails for our attention to get lost in.

In the next article I’ll write about another recognized treasure that has the power to lead one out of this haze and labyrinthine maze.

It will come with a super easy exercise that will connect you to Natural State nearly instantly plus another exercise that will heal you of many emotional and physical maladies (usually brought on but a severe lack of Natural State and consuming its synthetic substitutes).

Gamensa definition:

The Naive Mind

The mind at its beginning; free of preconceptions, closest to the awakening moment of human awareness, the moment of creation.

Imagine Adam’s first moments when he became aware.  He had completely clear and undistorted senses, perfect language undistorted by shoddy and fuzzy imperfect human word forms.

The mind free of bad data clusters and physio-subclusters which cause distortions of perception, health issues and wrong belief structures.

The mind formless; with few labels and few words, with quiet and focused operation and only labeling with an eraseable pencil.  (So to speak.  Means that you can categorize and recognize but are not dogmatic and stuck.  You can see from many angles and unlearn almost as fast as you learn.)

The mind and heart flowing like a smooth river with few rocks to chop it.  The mind and heart rotating on its axis perfectly and infinitely like the galaxy, holding every thought and data particle, every connection, every relation in frightening clarity.

The Breath of Life Within

Chi, prana, mana, ki.  These are various ways that cultures around the world have labeled the moving currents of force in the universe around us and its cousin within us.  Chi is probably one of the most widely hollywood-ized, if you allow the word.  Many people know that the “Force” from Star Wars is based on this concept.  Of course, it has been much distorted in those movies.

For many the question is whether it even exists.  Western society tends to view this as unscientific and mythological.  Even those who truly “believe in” it is really thought of as mystical in nature instead of a measurable phenomenon.  To many in the East it is as plain as the nose on their face.  It is as obvious as the wind and as integral to their society and everyday life as concepts like cars, combs and shoes are.

For some Christians, Jews and Muslims the question is whether or not these things constitute magic and sorcery, which God banned from long ago.

This is a deep subject but an interesting one.  My objective here is to simply point you to the fact that chi alone is not in and of itself a product of magic.  But like any force or thing in the universe it can be misused.  We can also be misinformed about it and that can lead to dangers as well.  On the other hand, knowledge of chi or this force, can be used to boost the intellect, power the memory and creative forces of mind and body, create superior health and resilience on every level and much more.

One of the best things is that it can lead to a greater understanding of the mind-body connection.  Why are we getting fatter, flabby, sicker, lacking in energy, in will power and mental focus as a culture?  One reason is an almost complete lack of consciousness for the force of life.

The Bible describes this force as ruach or spirit.  In the Bible ruach can mean many things.  However, the underlying principle is that ruach is invisible but exerts itself in the visible realm.  Ruach has consequences we can see and measure.  Ruach is a force, energy being sent and/or spend, energy in motion.  One of the uses for ruach is as the life force in our bodies.  Jehovah God breathed into the first man in order to jump start this ruach in him.  From that point Adam came to be a living soul.  The word for what God did here in breathing into Adam was neshamah.  This breath of life is respiration of the lungs, organ systems, organs, tissues and indeed the cells.  This respiration supports the life force or the ruach.  On the other hand, the ruach drives and makes possible the continuance of the neshamah.  For continued respiration we need ruach.  But for continued ruach we need neshamah or respiration.

Here, prove the link between the two to yourself:

First, to become aware of ruach do the following:

  1. Stand in a relaxed way and breathe naturally, from your abdomen but not forced deep breathing.  Just normal breaths.
  2. Rub your hands together vigorously for a few seconds.
  3. Place you hands on your belly so that the tips of your middle fingers are touching your navel.  Now slide your hands down about 1 or 2 inches.
  4. Now remaining level with this area slowly bring your hands out in front of you.  It should look like you are holding a beach ball to your belly.  Your hands and fingers should still be pointing toward each other and your palms still aimed toward your belly.  You should stand relaxed.  No unnecessary tension in your legs, arms, back, neck, shoulders, hands.
  5. Remain in this stance and focus lightly inside yourself at about 2 or 3 inches below your navel and about 1/3 to 1/2 way inside your body.  The area you can become aware of is about the size of an apple and larger.  It varies from person to person and from day to day.  Sometimes it is the size of a marble.  Sometimes much bigger.  This is the main chi/ruach storage center of your body.  You become aware of it lightly, like you might become aware of some wind on your skin.  Feel it rather than visualize it.  Don’t be concerned if your mind doesn’t hold the focus.
  6. Hold this focus and pose for about 5 minutes.  If you cannot hold it for the entire time, no problem.  Put your arms down for a moment and then return them.  Or you can even just shake them or move them a little bit to take the edge off the tiredness.
  7. Now bring your palms toward each other, facing each other.  Notice what you sense in the palms of your hands, over your entire hands and between your hands.  The slight tackiness is chi or ruach.

Now prove the link between ruach and neshamah to yourself.

  1. Keeping your palms facing each other focus on the sensations of your hands as you breath in and out.  Relax your entire body.  Keep all unnecessary tension out.
  2. Your hands will begin to feel like they are breathing.  As you inhale it will feel that your hands are inhaling.  As you exhale they will feel like they are exhaling.  They actually are, but they are doing so mostly with ruach.  You are respirating ruach right now!  Actually, you always are but being more conscious of it you are actually causing it to be amplified many times over.  The result is that your life force is growing inside your body.  It is becoming more active and powerful.
  3. Go back to the beach ball stance.  Does the ball feel smaller or bigger?  It is exerting more pressure or less on your hands?  Most people can feel a “bigger” ball at this point.  You’ve collected more energy.
  4. Just so you don’t waste it you can use this ruach by projecting it into a part of yourself.  Some people put it into their knees.  Some put it into their face for beauty purposes.
  5. Knees: simply sense the ruach around your hands as you lower them to your knees and then continue to breath as you gently rub it into your knees.  You can put your palms near each other afterward and you will notice that the extra ruach is gone.  It is now in your knees.
  6. Face: you can bring your palms to your face in the same manner as above with knees.  Place your palms on your face and gently rub in circles as you continue to breath normally and stay relaxed.  You can rub it for 3-9 times.  Each time you rub in a circle go through your scalp and the back of your head all the way to the base of your skull.  Then, go back to your face and repeat until you’ve done it 3-12 times.

So you have just started to prove to yourself: 1) the existence of life force energy, chi or ruach in your body, and 2) its link to your breath (neshamah).  Just like the Bible says!

There are so many instances in this life and this universe where we come to a place where we could ask that old school room question “which came first, the chicken or the egg?”  Yes, which can first, the breath or the ruach?  The answer is Jehovah God came first and there is no mystery or mysticism in that, nor in ruach itself!  The danger lies in myths and lies!  This is not to say that we understand everything there is to know about chi but that we can.  It is not myth nor unknowable and unprovable.

Gamensan training is centered around using ruach and neshamah to cultivate body structure, self-healing ability, viral and bacteriological immunity, and all psychic (mind-mental) Gamensa abilities.  This is used to debug the psyche, strengthen it and project it the past and future as well as enhance memory and mathematical powers.

How “Dangerous” is Your Kung Fu?

Kung Fu is a Chinese concept that is woefully distorted in the Western mind.  First of all, it sounds more like Gong Fu when it is said by the Chinese.  But the important difference in understanding is that Gong Fu is not a martial art.

Kung Fu or Gong Fu means skill and/or skill knowledge.

To illustrate, you walk.  You stand.  You write.  You drive a motor vehicle.  But what is your level of Gong Fu doing these?

A problem with the Western mind that has infected Christians and actually been spread by Christendom (two totally separate entities and entity groups, mind you) throughout the last two millenniums is an extreme lack of mindfulness.

Go somewhere you can watch people for a while.  A park or a mall.  Sit and watch.

Notice that people are walking about stiffly and limping or moving off-balance in almost every case.  Of course, the older the person is usually the worse off they are.  But even young people have this problem if you look closely.  They are digging their own graves, shortening their lives with each motion because of their lack of Gong Fu in application to motion, particularly walking.

When did you learn to walk?  For the Westerner it was likely when you were a toddler.  Since then very little attention has been given to learning to walk!  Thus, you walk with about the same Gong Fu as you did when you were young!  Without mindfulness, which is focused consciousness, you will experience entropy instead of increasing coherence.  In other words, your walking system will break down slowly over time.  That goes the same with any area of life.

Without Gong Fu, we are sliding downhill to an early grave.

How does this concept apply to a Christian’s theocratic meditation?  Of course, Jehovah God trains his worshippers in this very way.  It is not known by that name.

If you open the Bible at the beginning and read you will see God demonstrating this concept for us.  After each of the creative periods he enjoyed his work.  No doubt there was much more to it.  The Bible reveals that angels were involved as workers.  The primary worker was Jesus, at that time known as Michael.

Most do not think that God learns but the Biblical record shows that God indeed does.  He doesn’t know everything.  Why?  Because he chooses not to know it all at once.  Thus, if you go a bit further in Genesis was will see that he paid close attention to his human son, watching him, listening to him.  Whatever Adam would call an animal “that would be its name”.  In other words, the name that God gave it initially may have taken a back seat to what his human son called it.  This was new information in the universe.  God chose to learn it through mindfulness in the present rather than knowing the future instantly, which he has the ability to do.

These are just two examples.  There are many examples in scripture of humans, angels and God exercising superb mindfulness.  And on the part of humans and angels this also means an increase in skill.

On a quantum level the universe is tending toward breakdown.  This principle is a law of thermodynamics.  It is called entropy.  This is the disorder present in systems.  Consciousness represents order.  When you become conscious of something you immediately become more orderly on a quantum level.  Through organized mindfulness and the right techniques any area of your spiritual, mental, moral, physical, financial, business – whatever – life will become more orderly.

“Keep strict watch on how you walk.” – Ephesians 5:15.

The most important and vital part of life is our spiritual existence.  Thus, there is no greater need for Gong Fu – or whatever you wish to call mindfulness and skill consciousness – then in our spirituality and godly devotion.  In fact, to be missing this quality and ever improving Gong Fu here is truly dangerous!

Is there an opposite of Gong Fu?  YES!  The Bible names it!  Easygoingness and sluggishness.

“For the renegading of the inexperienced ones is what will kill them, and the easygoingness of the stupid is what will destroy them.” – Proverbs 1:32.

Jesus says that the eye that is simple is the Christian eye.  While the eye that is not simple is wicked.  The Greek here for simple is literally “all one way”.  An eye that is simple is not scattering light but focusing it “all one way”.

Also, in an illustration Jesus said that a master would go away and leave talents (currency) with three different slaves.  They were to work at enriching him while he was away.  One slave went out and buried what he was given.  The master’s reaction?  He called that slave “wicked and sluggish”.

In terms of the universal laws of life we can say that mindfulness and continual serious devotion to godly devotion and all aspects of spirituality is the pulse of life while sluggishness and easygoingness in this area means entropy, breakdown, degradation and death.  From God’s point of view it is anti-Christ, anti-life.  Wicked.

A lack of Gong Fu means a serious lack of joy.  It means trying to get something for nothing, which is a path of diminishing returns.  God described this as a problem with most of the Jews of Malachi’s day.  You can read about it in the book bearing his name.

Each year the Jewish men were to take the firstfruit – the very best – of their flocks and offer it to Jehovah.  Instead they would take sick or ill ones.  Not only did this mean that they had a guilty conscience and so put Jehovah out of their mind, they also had a hard time doing it.  The sick and the injured still needed to be taken to Jerusalem.  And of course, the whole way, it would be more difficult to bring a sick or injured animal.  They would also try to hide the defect on the way down.  Who knows what other energy sucking things happened for this shoddy sacrifice, this sluggish and easygoing and wicked behavior!  How much more joy would they have had if only they gave their best!  How much more would Jehovah had blessed their crops and flocks and herds!  God loves a cheerful giver!

In that same way too, Gong Fu, will a challenge to live at first, quickly becomes incredibly joyful and enriching to your life, especially when applied to your spirituality!

Gong Fu is an essential Gamensan value and attribute.
